Bengaluru, NFAPost: Avid fans of Grand Theft Auto (GTA) video-game franchise are in for some exciting news as fresh news of GTA 6 release rumours is making waves on the internet.
A recent job advert posted by Rockstar North (a division of Rockstar Games’ Developer Studios) for the position of a Technical Build Engineer suggests that the blockbuster GTA series developer may be working on a “large-scale project”, which is widely rumoured to be the GTA 6 testing phase.
This news has rekindled hopes among fans that the successor to GTA 5 may already be due for its release. However, there is no mention of “GTA 6” in the job listing or any official confirmation from Rockstar Games regarding the game’s development or its likely release window.
It is believed that Rockstar Games could be secretly working on its high-profile sequel to its immensely popular GTA 5 title. The buzz surrounding the highly-anticipated GTA 6 title is gaining momentum as it’s the only major money-making franchise with Rockstar apart from Red Dead Redemption. While the latter recently received a sequel, the former is long due for release.
Meanwhile, Comicbook also reaffirms the likelihood that the listing could point to its post-production stage and GTA 6 could have well entered the alpha stage of testing. However, the publication cautions readers and fans to take it with a pinch of salt as the details of the listing are a bit hazy at this stage.
While Comicbook believes GTA 6 may have entered the testing phase of its development, some fans think that the game could be at the verge of release with some finishing touches to be done.
“ Rockstar North has a new job opening for a Technical Build Engineer,” @GTAVINR tweeted. “We don’t know if this is related to GTA 6 however this role is to test things like alphas and betas of games so perhaps they're almost finished creating the game.”
