Bengaluru, NFAPost: OurCrowd, Israel’s leading venture investment platform founded by Jon Medved, and the Toyota Tsusho Corporation (Toyota Tsusho), have today announced a new business and technology scouting partnership.

The move assumes significance as OurCrowd is actively involved in companies from Mobileye which is acquired by Intel for $15 billion and even ZoomCar in India. The investment platform has already put bet on vision based technology and other deep technology companies across the globe.

Toyota Tsusho Corporation is one of Japan’s general trading companies and a member of the Toyota Group, which comprises of 17 companies including Toyota Motor, Denso etc. The partnership will help Toyota to capitalise on OurCrowd’s Israeli and global network, robust deal flow pipeline and growing portfolio of 200 promising startups along with the broad reach.

Mobility Technologies

The Toyota move comes at a time when the automotive industry is going through technology disruption and electric vehicles are making deep impact. The company is looking at coming up with innovative products and services to expand its presence in the key business sectors of Mobility, Resources and Environment, Life and Community.

OurCrowd has already established deep impact on sensors, image recognition, data compression, and security.
